Choose a photograph, then work along the benches in order: Film, Develop, Print, Finish. Load a stock and set the exposure, push or pull the development, set the enlarger exposure and the paper grade, then dodge, burn and tone. Hold the compare button at any point to see the photograph you started with.

On the Develop bench. It is a real intermediate, with the orange mask on colour stocks and a clear base on black and white, and you can export it on its own.

Every stage of the chain, at full resolution, on your own photograph. Three film stocks, two papers, a toner and three film formats are free, and you can use and look at all the rest too. A frame built from free content exports as a print, negative, film strip, contact sheet or clip, up to 8x10 at 300 dpi, carrying a small TONED mark in the film's own edge lettering.

All thirteen stocks, all five papers, all four toners, every film format and print size, split-grade printing, export at full size with no mark, and as many kept frames as you like. It is a one-time purchase. There is no subscription and there will not be one.

Because it is not a filter. The tones come out of a characteristic curve per dye layer, a real inversion to a negative, and a second inversion through the paper. Grain sits in the developed density rather than on top of the file, and halation lands around a blown highlight rather than glowing over it.

Yes. RAW files are decoded with their highlights above white intact, which is the detail the film curve needs. Toned edits photographs from your library; it is not a camera.
